Denmark rule the European Championships with four titles

FinalsWS1Badminton giant Denmark dominated the Yonex Badminton European Championships in Manchester. The Scandinavians won four out of the five Gold Medals and kept their status as Europe's leading Badminton nation.  Jonas Rasmussen and Lars Paaske of Denmark were the only defending champions competing in the M.E.N Arena since Wednesday, as four new European Champions had to be crowned.

Peter Gade could enter history

GadeFinals1Danish legend Peter Gade has the chance to enter history in Sunday's finals at the Yonex European Championships. He could grab his 5th consecutive European title in Men's Singles. A record that maybe will never will be beaten again. But to reach this stage he had to overcome the restistance of Marc Zwiebler in the semi final first. The German gave the four-times champion from Denmark a real fight. For more than one hour and twenty minutes both were battling for a place in the finals. When the score was 16 all in the decider, it was Peter Gade who stepped on the gas and was on top of the next five rallies.
