First players accepted - second phase now ongoing

The deadline for entering the "Phase 1" eligible players for the 2010 Yonex European Championships has now passed - and the "Phase 2" eligible players have been invited.

New champions are guarenteed in four of the events, as only Lars Paaske/Jonas Rasmussen will be defending their title in Manchester.

Today it was announced which players are eligible to participate at the 2010 Yonex European Championships in Manchester, England.

40 European countries can be represented in Manchester - but it all depends on whether the national associations decide to accept the invitations send out today.

On 5 March the "phase 2"-players will be announced.

Former silver medallists at the World Junior Championships, Gabby White and Chris Adcock, are some of the future stars in English badminton.
